I have never been much of a blogger. There are many reasons for this, but one is the danger of putting something inappropriate on the internet for all to see. I still believe that is something to be aware of but have decided to start a new blog with a new philosophy.

Laughing out loud  is the name of the blog, not because I intend always to see the funny side of things, although that may also happen. I am told regularly that people know when I am around because they can hear my distinctive and loud laugh. Sometimes I try to tone it down (and there are times when that is appropriate) but I am also aware that it is part of what makes me who I am. I laugh out loud! I can be very loud! And to change that is to change who I am.

I wanted to start this blog to remember the importance of remaining true to myself, of keeping my integrity, and of not being ashamed to be the person I am. I will continue to laugh out loud. But I will probably also wear my heart on my sleeve. I will say what I feel, and I will try not to be inappropriate. But in this space, I will just be me, with no-one else to please!
